Had a heart attack,
a week ago last Tuesday.
Five in the morning.

Awoke from deep sleep.
Tightening vise cramps my chest.
Pain I can’t ignore.

This won’t go away!
Not too many years ago,
I’d be dead and gone.

Quick ambulance trip;
some catheterization;
live another day.

I wake and hear birds.
Each day, a profound surprise
that I am still here.

It’s clear to me now,
that I may not get another chance
to follow my bliss.

Most thought me crazy.
Old motorhome through eBay!?
All but the artists.
