A few words about this haiku stream

☞ Since early February 2011, starting with the wave of uprisings leading to the fall of the dictators of Tunisia, Egypt, recently Libya, and soon Syria, with yet more to follow – in what was first called the Arab Spring, and now gone global with OccupyWallStreet and its echoes – I have been closely following these, and more local, Current Events. ∞ I have been harvesting phrases from the full range of media and content outlets. ∞ These haiku are 99% built from actual quotes of news-makers, reporters, eye-witnesses, analysts, observers, iconoclasts and occasional quacks.
